Industry stakeholders are invited to submit papers and abstracts detailing case studies on the following topics:
- Key midstream and upstream pipeline project updates
- Risk management and due diligence
- The impact of new regulations on upstream and midstream pipeline project development
- Geotechnical and geophysical analysis
- Onshore and offshore route planning for upstream and midstream pipeline projects
- Onshore and offshore pipeline pre-commissioning
- Onshore and offshore design for remote and challenging areas
- Onshore and offshore pipeline construction and installation
- Lifetime extension methodologies and technologies
- Integrity management for unpiggable pipelines
- Emergency pipeline intervention
- Pipeline failure analysis
- Pipeline corrosion management
- Pipeline leak detection
- Flow assurance and operational improvement
- SCADA, automation and process management
Interested speakers are invited to submit an abstract of maximum 300 words in length, describing the main ideas developed within the paper, together with the author’s CV.
Speakers are given approximately 20 minutes to give their presentation, followed by 5-10 minutes for Q&A.
The conference language is English; papers submitted in languages other than English will not be considered for inclusion.
In general, submissions should:
- Describe a new or enhanced method of approaching and overcoming commercial, regulatory or strategic issues during the planning, construction, operation or decommissioning stages of an onshore or offshore pipeline project
- Using new and previously-published material to qualify and quantify new trends that are impacting the commercial viability, safety, reliability and security of the offshore and offshore pipeline sectors
- Describe the impact of new and existing regulations or legal frameworks on the feasibility of a pipeline project
- Describe a new or enhanced planning, management and execution methodology linked to commercial and logistical pipeline project improvements
- Describe a new or improved method of solving a pipeline design, construction, installation, inspection, rehabilitation or repair issue;
- Describe a new or improved technology developed to solve pipeline design, construction, installation, inspection, rehabilitation or repair problems;
- Relate previously-published technical or methodological information to emphasise its value in finding practical solutions for pipeline design, construction, installation, inspection, rehabilitation or repair problems;
- Describe a failure or field analysis that illustrates the rationale in materials’ selection, inspection technology, or repair method.
